On Thursday, May 22nd Stryker Local School grades K-3 enjoyed a nice afternoon touring the Jagger Cone baking facility. Students were given a tour of the facility and the whole process of manufacturing a good old fashioned ice cream cone beginning to end. The tour began by showing the students the mixing room where all the raw ingredients are formulated together to produce our secret ice cream cone batter. Next they were given the opportunity to actually watch the cone batter be distributed in the baking ovens where they would see freshly baked ice cream cones appear when they finished baking. After showing the students how a Jagger cone was made they were then taken to the warehousing/shipping department where all of the finished product is stored. The day was capped of by a stop at the company break room where each student was hand-scooped delicious ice cream into a freshly baked Jagger cone as snack for the students to remember us by.
